Jellyfish countermeasure marine simulation

At Kanae, we use CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation software to numerically analyze the flow of seawater near the intake of power plants based on actual survey data. By conducting numerical analysis through simulations, we can observe the flow of seawater without the need for complex surveys or tests. We also perform simulations regarding the influx of jellyfish to the intake and carry out the design and installation of optimal jellyfish prevention nets (jellyfish countermeasures) for the installation site. We can observe the ocean currents near the intake. Based on the analysis of seawater flow, we design the optimal jellyfish prevention nets (jellyfish countermeasures) for the intake. We also analyze changes in flow and the behavior of jellyfish during jellyfish influx events.
